So, it turns out that blogging is not something I have time to do on a regular basis…. obviously….
So, we are consolidating!

I confess …. I’ve been a tad MIA here lately. I guess life has gotten the best of me this summer. Or, maybe it is this SUMMER that has gotten the best of me? Either way, I’m a blog-slacker.
I swear I’ve tried, here and there. (73 drafts would prove this true)
So, what HAVE I been doing? A few things.
1. Hanging out with my son (he starts Kindergarten this fall!)
2. Working on my own home projects (Stop laughing!)
3. Driving (fargo, lake city, rochester, etc) LOTS of driving, both work and fun.
4. Accounting (Necessary Evil for a business owner)
5. Detox – ish. As it turns out, gluten and dairy may NOT be my body’s only rejections.
6. Relaxing. I’ve taken my “extra” time for myself, to read books, sleep and do puzzles. Now it’s fall and I tend to get productive. We’ll see where that takes me.
Cheers!
What do YOU love?
Well, HELLO!
Amy Mescia has done it again! You may remember how excited I was a few years ago when I first discovered her at Oscar & Izzy, I wrote a post about it. I’ve been stalking her on Facebook and Twitter ever since and truly am still giddy every time she releases a new collection.
Her new Black & White Collection is no different and completely AMAZE-BALLS!
By taking color away, the patterns showcase the simple shapes & make their own punch.
I also LOVE that she kept a few of my favorite designs as well as added others.
On a day like the 4th of July, I really wish I already had an outdoor kitchen at my house.
But, I don’t (not yet!) so….Today, I will dream and plan for the future.
Here are 5 of my favorite outdoor spaces from Houzz, a great resource for inspiration.
June Mission: Outdoor Planter
Under $500
“PAD Outdoor is a Los Angeles based furniture design company specializing in products for outdoor use. In the tradition of Southern Californian endeavors such as the Case Study program and Architectural Pottery, PAD explores the concomitant relationship between the artistry of form and the market rationality of production.”
Lately I have been obsessed with birds and bug decor. I tried to ignore it but then I came across the announcement on Retro Renovation that the Studios of Tom Oldham & Birch Fabrics have collaborated to release a new line around the works of Charley Harper in October of this year.
I’ve decided to embrace my craziness. It turns out, I may not be the only one looking for bugs and birds!
Well, it’s already June and it is just starting to feel like Spring around here. Which, of course, means SPRING CLEANING!
Who doesn’t like a clean house? I LOVE a clean house {in my dreams} and am often looking for solutions to my pet peeves.
I MUST find a better way to have hand soap ready for action! With an almost-5 year old and his friends in and out all summer, I don’t think I can handle the drips nor another day with those unattractive pump bottles.
So, it’s a bit out of my price range and in Bethesda, Maryland (which I’ve been to once…I think) but I couldn’t resist dreaming of staying here for a week vacation or maybe the summer?
The home was built in 1969 and listed for a mear 1.8 mil (according to Weichert.com). My favorite part? The top floor/roof deck.
LOVE.

June Mission: Outdoor Planters
Under $500
I ran across these ceramic planters while shopping on Modernica.com (that is a problem for another time)
I feel immediately head over heels in Lust with this 3 tier planter! Then, I saw the baby black one.
Here’s a quick summary.
Today I was exploring the Contemporist website and came across this gorgeous table from Steuart Padwick.
May Mission: Side Table
Under $1,200
The Tulip Table is one of my all time favorite pieces. It is iconic, classic, simple and fun.
Many companies make this style. They range in price, material and size. Here are a few of my favorites.
